DESCRIPTION

HUBERT is an low-to-mid gain overdrive based on the tried and true golden standard Tube Screamer topology with tasteful enhancements. It really shines boosting high gain amps, but will handle any overdriving task.

Tune in some more lows with the Low control for perfect amount of bass cut for your playing style and sound. First half of rotation gives you a nice sophisticated addition of depth and a full range feel. Go beyond that and the amount of lows allows the pedal to be even used with bass.

The Mode switch is not just a clipping switch. Each setting has a unique combination of frequency response, gain and clipping arrangements. These modes offer plenty of variation compared to many other similar effects. Read the detailed descriptions below.

Maximum amount of gain is increased compared to a Tube Screamer. Try maxing out both Gain and Low for a very fat tone with a lot of sustain.

Hubert includes a silent analog relay-based switching circuit utilizing a high quality momentary tactile switch. Silent switching, yet a noticeable smooth click upon switch actuation. The pedal will default into bypass mode if power is disconnected.

CONTROLS

Master sets the output level.

Gain sets the amount of gain and distortion.

High sets the amount of high frequencies.

Low sets the amount of low frequencies.

Mode switch chooses between three different modes for the effect, each with their own character:
- OG: Classic mode inspired by the TS808, symmetric clipping.
- OD: Increased gain, high mid focus, sharper low end, asymmetric clipping.
- UC: Increased gain, low mid focus, extended high mids, more clarity, asymmetric clipping.

Hubert does not include any internal controls.
