DESCRIPTION

POLEMOKORI is a beastly high gain overdrive that also packs a gyrator clipping chainsaw gain stage and footswitchable analog octave up/down circuit. It offers extremely wide palette of raw tones from just four knobs, ranging from conventional boosting overdrive to absolutely over the top filth.

CONTROLS

Dist(ortion) sets the gain of the primary gain stage.

Grind sets the gain of the gyrator clipping stage, adding carefully voiced full-bodied chainsaw flavor into the tone while also increasing total gain.

Fat does two things. For the first half of the rotation it will smooth out the high end post-distortion, much like a common tone control would. For the second half of the rotation it will additionally start boosting the low frequencies, resulting in super thick tone. This combination results in an incredibly wide range, far more than what you're used to with just one EQ knob.

Octave does three things. Around noon it will provide a small gain boost. When turned in either direction it will blend in either -1 octave down or +1 octave up. Octave is toggleable with the left footswitch for convenience. Because it's all analog, some wild and dirty tracking is to be expected and embraced.

Total output level can be fine tuned with an internal trimmer if needed. The effect is designed so that it should not be necessary but it's there just in case.
